DesignEx is a Mac application that bridges the gap between design and development by turning existing coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or OpenCode into full design partners. It automatically derives a design system from your project and generates real prototypes using actual markup and your own tokens, eliminating the need for redrawing or translation later. Users can create, iterate on, and compare prototypes across mobile apps, web and desktop apps, components, landing pages, and more. An iOS companion app allows reviewing prototypes and leaving comments away from the desk. DesignEx is currently in research preview, available as an early Mac-only release for developers and designers who want cheap, fast design iteration without leaving their existing workflow.
